Eric, Ryan and Angeles, end in sight?, SEAL Team, March Madness

Eric was sustained and set apart as our ward family history consultant today! He definitely has skills in that area. Also, he got his 2nd COVID vaccine on Wednesday. He was able to work, but it did "wipe" him out a bit, he says. Mild fever, but did okay.

We got a call from Ryan...they are coming a week earlier than previously planned, so he will be here for his birthday! He will have to take a few finals while he is here, though. We are looking forward to having them come and visit us this Saturday!

And the signs we have had this week that give us hope that things are getting back to normal:

--Glen and I went grocery shopping at WinCo in Reno on Wednesday...and the bins were open!

--Then I was in town Friday night (not typical for me), and I was amazed at how many cars were on the road and how many people seemed to be out and about. (but maybe it's always that way on a Friday night and I'm just not in town to see it?)

--AND we were told this morning that we are now able to sing the hymns in church instead of just listening to the organ playing them! It's been over a year...

Back to why I was in town Friday night. Ariel Endacott, a former theatre student of Glen's and a CCHS graduate, wrote an episode of the TV show "SEAL Team" and they had a showing of it at the old movie theatre!

How she came to write the episode titled "A Question of Honor" was interesting. Ariel has been a "showrunner's assistant" at CBS Studios for almost 2 years now and apparently if a show has more than 22 episodes, they then give the opportunity for a freelancer to write an episode. And that is how she came to have her name on the screen. It was fun.

1st place-Kaellen's Oregon bracket! 

2nd place-Glen's Michigan bracket.

Tied for 3rd-Glen's BYU bracket, Beth's Gonzaga bracket, and Jacob P's bracket.

Tied for 25th-Beth's Ohio State bracket and Ben J's bracket.

Tied for 28th-Hannah's Ohio State bracket and Beckam's bracket.

35th-Andrew's Abil Christian bracket.

37th--Hannah's Battle of the Logos with Florida State is actually not last anymore! It's now 37th (which is 2nd to last).

And Glen's entry in the local CCCommunications competition is 2nd out of 18! (He had been 1st for this past week).

Looking forward to General Conference, Ryan and Angeles's visit, and Easter Sunday! (and more basketball...especially if we continue to do so well)
