another new granddaughter and spring into summer

Dad celebrated his 91st birthday in June.

Alan, Dad, Glen, and Kathy

Kyle and Melissa came at the end of June! It was Melissa's first time here and it had been a very long time since Kyle was here. It was a great visit. Once again, we managed to forget to get a good photo of us together.

Alex came home from college in between semesters. Lots of games were played.

now we are Terrforming Mars

Glen and I were able to go to Mesa in July for Henry's baptism and Kyrie's baby blessing!

Ryan and Angeles became parents in August! We thought it was so cool that Melody's cousin, Theodore, was born in the same hospital just a few hours after she was!

introducing Melody de la Luz Perazzo Castaneda!

The funniest text regarding photos of Melody is from Andrew:

"So cute! She looks like a mix between Ryan and Angeles, as if Ryan and Angeles got married and had a bab--wait a second."

My mother had her 88th birthday in August. We celebrated both here and at my sister's.

Hannah invited us and some of her friends to a murder mystery dinner (of which, I really didn't get a good picture). It was on the train the European Belle. I correctly guessed that I was the murderer! I had never done one before and I thought it was a blast.

Glen dressed up as a doctor and Hannah as the guide

And here is a photo taken while I was on my bike ride the other day.

And school has started again. Glen and I are both subbing again this year.
