summer into fall

This week, Glen and I returned from our trip to visit Hannah, Kyle, and Melissa in New Hampshire, but those photos will have to wait a week as I have a lot of other events and photos to share first as it's been such a long time since I last posted.

We had Ryan, Angeles, and Melody here for about 5-6 weeks this summer, so there are definitely photos of Melody. I also visited Vegas a few times. Plus Glen and I took many morning walks this summer...

Melody took 2 sets of swim lessons while she was here. She was SO cute in her swimming outfit.

In July, Kyle and Melissa flew to Vegas to visit mom, so Glen and I drove down to see them.

Melody didn't quite get the proper technique for dandelion blowing.

Ryan, Angeles, and Melody were moving just before Melody's 1st birthday, so we had an early birthday party for her which included spending time at the outdoor pool and splash pad, a "cake" made of fruit, and sparklers in the evening.

Alex came with me when I traveled down to Vegas to celebrate my mom's 89th birthday. But before her birthday, we spent the weekend in Mesa with Andrew and his family. It included very late nights for Andrew and Alex who played games into the wee hours.

We had Mom's 89th birthday celebration at Deni's house.

Soon after, it was time for Alex to head back to school where he is doing an internship this semester. Glen and I drove him to Salt Lake where he visited with friends from his mission before he traveled up to Rexburg.

Glen and I really enjoy our morning walks where we get to see some awesome nature.

Glen just finished his 3rd time teaching Chautauqua classes at the local museum. This time he played Samuel Short, but you can call him Sam, for short. They all did a fabulous job. Glen's presentation was about moving local buildings to different sites (you can see in the photo there was a horse and mule team moving a building down the street)
