Silver Beaver

Last night, we attended the Boy Scouts Award Banquet (or whatever it was called) in Reno. Glen, along with 3 others from Fallon and 4 others from the area council were presented Silver Beaver awards. Apparently it's not just for scouting service, but for also community service.

Glen's family came out to support him. David, Jackie, Alan, Kathy, and Gary were there, besides his parents. And fellow scouter Eph and his wife Diane were there too. It was really nice.

They also presented 2 heroism awards to Scouts who had saved someone's life: Adam Kidd and Adam ???. Kidd saved his little sister from drowning in the Snake River in 2009 and ??? saved his mother from choking by performing the Heimlich maneuver in 2010. It was very touching.

So, congratulations Glen.
