Third leg of our travels: Vegas for a nephew's wedding (Jul 22-25)

We arrived home from Lake Almanor on Thursday, July 21st and spent the whole afternoon doing laundry and repacking.

Friday morning we drove down to my sister's house in Vegas since her son, Cory, was getting married to Amanda the next day. My parents were already there along with Kyle (my brother who had flown in from Maine) and Martha (a childhood friend who had flown in from Boston). Pat had his brothers (Jack and Brian) and sister (Diane) and some of their families come for the wedding too.

We just hung out Friday night while the main cast when to the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. Saturday we ran errands and visited. Saturday evening was the wedding at a golf club.

It was wonderful. Amanda had a gorgeous dress unlike any we had seen before...it incorporated color into the bodice and skirt/train...not just a colored sash that you sometimes see these days. After the vows were exchanged we had dinner and then some dancing. Hannah even got my mom to go out on the dance floor. Good times.

I have discovered I was not a very thorough photographer and am missing photos of people I wish I hadn't missed. I will have to track some down from the others who were there snapping photos.

We had a wonderful time, but it was very short. Sunday we went to church and then hung around visiting and then we left Monday morning for the last and longest leg of our trip.
