time to guess where Alex will be going on his mission!

First off, Happy Birthday yesterday to my brother, Kyle, and my father-in-law! Hope you both had a wonderful day!

Alex had his final interview Wednesday night and Friday morning we got the word that his mission application papers had been submitted to Salt Lake. Thomas, his cousin, and Jane, a former seminary student of mine, also had their papers submitted at the same time. Exciting times for our ward and family!

So, you get 2 choices at to where Alex will be called--choose one within the United States and then a foreign country. Alex is hoping for a foreign country, preferably Spanish speaking, and he guesses Uruguay (my mission) and for state-side, he says Michigan (Glen's mission).

The shortest turn around we've seen lately is 6 days, though it probably won't be that soon. Get your guesses in! You can message me on facebook, email them to us, or put them in the blog comments.

I chose North Carolina and Portugal (I usually chose Portugal when asked to guess and I haven't been right yet).

Glen says Pennsylvania and New Zealand.

Congratulations to Thomas who received his endowments in the Reno temple yesterday (so now he can attend Sarah and Luke's temple wedding this coming Saturday in the Reno temple!). Alex will be going relatively soon, though a date hasn't been set yet. I personally don't have a good photo...but here's Eric taking a photo...

Gary, Dad P, Kathy, Joseph, Thomas, Sarah, and Luke

Hannah and Kaellen moved to Utah on Monday. It's a sad/happy thing. We lost a daughter and son-in-law, but gained a good vacuum cleaner (they bought one for us to say thanks for letting them stay here). Thanks!

And in less exciting news, the first week of summer vacation was spent by Glen trying to fix our dryer (which is literally in pieces all over the house) and in doing service projects for several groups. My main task of the week was spring cleaning.

Looking forward to the second week of summer vacation!
