Andrew as a baby

This morning at 11:51 Utah time, one week overdue just like Andrew had been, my first grandchild was born healthy and weighing in at 9 lb 5 oz (Andrew was 10 lbs 4 oz, so once again, like father, like son).

No name yet so it kind of doesn't seem real. Congratulations Andrew and Heather! The text announcing his arrival ("born!") arrived just after church started today, so I apologize if anyone saw me texting during the meeting, but I had to pass along the good news. :)

Since there isn't much more to say about that all-important topic at the moment, let me recap our Spring Break.


Trip to Vegas

Hannah and I traveled down to Vegas for a few days to visit my sister and a friend of ours that we've known since I was 9 who was there visiting from Massachusetts with her daughter. We had a wonderful time sight seeing on the Strip--the M&M store, the flower garden at the Bellagio, and the shops at Caesar's Palace. We watched movies, shopped at the mall, and went looking at model homes, which was a ton of fun.

24 hour Game Marathon

Eric and Alex got up at midnight Friday morning and started their game marathon. In the morning they were joined by cousins. Mice and Mystics, Eldritch Horror, and King of Tokyo were the new games that were ordered just for Friday and no other games were played. Cousins came over during the day for a few games.

Alex says that Mice and Mystics and Eldritch Horror are both co-operative games, meaning you work together to beat the game and not each other. They won every time they played Eldritch Horror, however they lost just as often as they won while playing Mice and Mystics. Alex won when they played King of Tokyo.

They were exhausted by midnight, but they had a great time.
