summer happenings

Our happenings in June included Ryan, Angeles, and Melody coming from Taiwan at the start of the month, going to see Hannah in the play "Peter and the Starcatcher" in Utah, and Dad Perazzo's 93rd birthday.

July included our family reunion with Andrew and his family which was sandwiched in between Glen helping out at Young Women's camp and then Young Men's camp. Hannah moved here at the end of July to work in a local dentist office for a month or two. The result of that is that 4 of our 5 children plus a daughter-in-law and granddaughter are living with us (though temporarily for most of them). It's a party!

August meant Melody's 2nd birthday and, 2 days later, my mother's 90th birthday. Glen and I had to miss Melody's party so we could be in Vegas to visit during the short time my brother and his wife would be able to be there. Mom's half-sister, Brenda, also traveled to Vegas and we got to meet her for the first time. If was a great few days.

The night Glen and I got back from Vegas, Dad Perazzo fell and broke his hip. He passed away 8 days later. It is bittersweet. He will be missed, but everyone is so happy that he is reunited with Mom Perazzo who passed away over 7 years ago.

This summer also included early morning walks and some late evening ones, too, and lots of nature.

Melody brought me a flower!

One of the activities during our reunion was a movie night at the theatre--just us. Glen made a slide show to play before our movies started. I was in the theatre that showed the latest "Little Women" adaptation. I don't even know what animation film was shown in the other.
